On The Drawing Board

I am painting a series of romantic paintings, after being inspired once again by so many of the Pre Raphaelite painters from the nineteenth century. My daughter Camille and I took advantage of the beautiful spring weather and visited a local arboretum for a photography session. We had such a great time and the flowers were just beginning to open. Luckily for us - there were a few lilly ponds and water gardens - along with a beautiful Japanese garden. The trees were blooming and the Japanese maples were especially beautiful. There were pathways with late afternoon dappled light in almost perfect places. I have so many photos I want to paint - Camille is a great model - very creative and of course, beautiful. Someday I hope to look back on these days and these paintings and enjoy the
memories even more!
